The ONLY Pitch Day Event aimed exclusively
at biotech companies developing new respiratory therapies.

What is it?

RespireX is a new Pitch Day event that focuses on innovation in the field of novel respiratory medicines. It is a not-for-profit event, organized to promote emerging pulmonary therapies. The day will close with a drinks reception and award ceremony.
HCmed Innovations are organizing the event.
Participating biotech’s will pitch their asset to a panel of experts, who will then crown a winner on the same day – with the winning company securing significant seed funding to use on their development program, and optional access to an Incubator lab in the UK.
All participants will also have access to an expert Coach from one of our Sponsors, to help them prepare for the event, and to provide strategic support post-event.

Why is it Unique?

Most respiratory conferences are driven by profit for the organisers, with paying exhibitors and presenters often steering the themes and agenda
Innovation is being stifled and we wanted to create a platform where participants could present their work to real experts, and get deep, impactful feedback
We are also putting together a group of Sponsors with expertise in different areas of product development, from formulation development, device supply, manufacturing and animal toxicological studies- creating a supply chain for participants to tap into.

The Format

8 – 10 biotech, start-ups or academic research groups selected by the organisers from the pool of applicants will pitch to a judging panel of high-profile industry KOL’s and experts.
The pitching company must present an asset in the TRL 3-6 space (i.e. asset from early pre-clinical development, or has progressed no further than Ph 1) to an audience of 50-100 sponsors and invited industry guests.
